He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in METU Mechanical Engineering Department. He started his career as a Research Assistant at Middle East Technical University between 1992-1995.

Between 1995 and 2004, he worked in various roles in Engineering, R&D, Business Development and Production Operations at MarSA Kraft, a joint venture of Sabancı Holding – Kraft Foods International.

Nazmi Civil, who served as the Operations Director at the global chocolate and confectionery manufacturer Cadbury between 2004 and 2010, became the Middle East and Turkey Region Supply Chain Director with the acquisition of Cadbury by Mondelez International in 2010. Later, in addition to his current duties, he assumed the leadership of Regional Supply Chain design for Central & Eastern Europe at Mondelez International.

He joined Yıldız Holding in 2013 and was appointed as the Supply Chain Group Vice President. In addition to his Turkish Supply Chain responsibilities at pladis, a Yıldız Holding company, he led the design and execution of Global S&OP and Supply Chain Network Optimization processes.

Continuing his duty as General Manager and Board Member at HARIBO Turkey since September 2020, Dr. In addition to his professional career, Nazmi Civil completed his doctorate education and received his doctorate in Supply Chain Management as of June 2022.
