He completed his doctorate in economics at Istanbul University. He is currently a faculty member at the Department of Economics in English at Istanbul Commerce University. He also carries out the Presidency of Circular Economy and EU Industrial Policies elected by the European Union at the same university. He previously worked at the University of Texas at Austin in the USA and the Higher School of Economics in Russia. He also teaches at Istanbul University and Galatasaray University. He has published studies in national and international journals and books in the fields of development, international economics and innovation economics. He writes a weekly column for the Newspaper Wall, and also prepares and presents a television program called “Benefit to You” on KRT TV.
